Ingredients
100% Pure, Premium White Buffalo Horn
Note:
This product is 100% cruelty-free as the white buffaloes are not injured nor harmed in anyway in the process of obtaining their horns. Trimming of horns periodically for the white buffaloes is an important part of their grooming, very much like shearing of wool for sheep.
How To Use
Before using for the first time:
- Wash away the protective oil with a mild cleanser and pat dry with a clean towel or tissue paper. Rinse thoroughly with slightly warm water. Do not wash in hot water.
- Rub a very small amount of vegetable oil throughout the comb. Take note that the comb should not feel oily after you have applied the vegetable oil on it. It is just to gently hydrate the comb. Blot away all excess oil and moisture.
- Wrap in a tissue paper and store in a ziplock bag.
- Change the tissue paper used for wrapping the comb once a day. Repeat for 5 days. This helps to remove the natural odour of the comb.
Maintenance and Care:
- Wash once a week with gentle cleanser and rinse with slightly warm water.
- Reapply vegetable oil to prevent the comb from drying out.
- Blot/clean away all excess oil and moisture.
- Always store the completely dry comb in the ziplock bag after each use.
- Store comb in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and light.
- Do not soak the comb in water as this will cause the natural odour of the comb to intensify.

Q: I’m experiencing hair loss. Would this help?
A: Yes, the ‘side effects’ of combing using Guasha Scalp Comb is reduced hair loss and better hair growth. Your overall scalp condition will be improved as well.
Q: Why does Guasha Scalp Comb have a ‘cattle-like’ odor?
A: This is a sure indication that Guasha Scalp Comb is made of 100% authentic aged white buffalo horns. There are many counterfeit white buffalo horn guasha combs in the market that are sold at very low prices. They may look like white buffalo horn but they are in fact made of synthetic resin or plastic which do not have any therapeutic value at all. The way to distinguish a high quality, genuine white buffalo horn from counterfeits is through the odour. The former will have a natural, cattle-like odour while the latter either smell like plastic or have no smell.
In addition, the thickness of white buffalo horn guasha comb will also determine the intensity of the odour. Good quality white buffalo horn guasha comb should have a minimum thickness of 9mm in order to contain sufficient therapeutic value. Our Guasha Scalp Comb has a thickness of 11mm, which is most ideal in terms of therapeutic value.
Q: Can this odour be removed?
A: Yes. Please refer to the section on ‘How to Care for your Guasha Scalp Comb’ for more information.
